Rethink named top independent agency at Clio Awards.

Thursday, April 28th marked the conclusion of the 2022 Clio Awards, with the naming of the ‘Grand’ and ‘Of The Year’ winners at an awards ceremony in New York City.

After taking home 16 Clios last week, the highest total for any Canadian agency, Rethink was named Independent Agency of the Year.

“Our independence is vital to who we are and what we do. Our independence allows us to keep life simple by just focusing on our people and the work,” says Aaron Starkman, CCO and Managing Partner. “What we’re most proud of with this recognition is that it didn’t happen because of a ton of awards for just one or two clients. There were 8 different clients and 12 different campaigns recognized by the Clios. At the end of the day it’s all about solving business problems in fresh ways and we’re so fortunate that we got to do that with so many different client partners on so many projects.”

The 16 awards comprised of seven silvers and eight bronze awards. Kraft Heinz’s Draw Ketchup and Over the Bridge’s campaign Lost Tapes of the 27 Club took home the most awards, with three awards each. Fondation Emergence’s Colours of Pride campaign was awarded two silvers, while IKEA was awarded two bronze awards for their Our Little World and The Cristiano Bottle campaigns. The other winning campaigns included work for Molson Canada, Decathlon, YWCA Metro Vancouver, the National Magazine Awards and Periods for Periods.
