Yogi Omar

Vancouver

Yogi was born & raised in Indonesia and moved to Vancouver by himself in 2001 at the age of 18, not knowing anyone or any English (other than Yes, No, and Hot—thank you, Paris Hilton!).

He quickly became involved in Vancouver’s film circle as he started volunteering (and eventually working) for the Vancouver International Film Festival for about a decade. Meanwhile, he stretched his activism muscles by joining the Board of Directors for various non-profit organizations such as Qmunity, Out on Screen, Vancouver Men’s Chorus, and became a Co-Chair for the City of Vancouver’s LGBTQ2+ Advisory Committee.

Professionally, he continued diving deep into the film industry as he became a Co-Owner of a talent agency, InspirationAll Talent, from 2011-2020 and produced a handful of short films, concerts, virtual projects, and live events on the side. When the pandemic happened in 2020, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream to become a Producer and a dog dad.

He is currently a proud dad of Bear, an Australian Shepard/Chow mix and he joined Rethink as a Broadcast Producer in 2021.
